How to Get Involved
Registry of Adaptation Practitioners
A searchable database designed to help community leaders connect with organizations that offer climate adaptation and resilience services. Organizations of various types – including academic institutions, consulting firms, nonprofit organizations, sole proprietorships – can apply to join, provided that they have at least three years of experience in the field, or two years of experience plus specialized training.
Funding Opportunities
CSCI provides grants to support the development and implementation of community-based climate resilience plans and projects. The Initiative invites applications from community-practitioner teams on a cyclical basis, and awards grants through a competitive process, prioritizing communities on the frontlines of the climate crisis. To be eligible for funding, practitioners must be accepted into the Registry, and apply in partnership with a community-based organization and a government partner.

The CSCI also offers the following resources to help climate adaptation and resilience practitioners.
Training and Workforce Development: CSCI provides practitioners with opportunities to obtain that specialized training and learn about systematic approaches to building resilience, with an emphasis on understanding and applying the Steps to Resilience framework.
Adaptation Help Desk, where practitioners can search though a set of frequently asked questions, or submit their own request and receive expert advice.
