Join the Registry of Climate Adaptation and Resilience Professionals

Group of community members and climate adaptation professionals discuss plans

“Connecting interested communities with qualified professionals, that is the goal,” said Liz Tully, program officer for the CSCI at the Climate Resilience Fund (CRF).  Tully was speaking to the creation of the Registry of Climate Adaptation and Resilience Professionals, which is now seeking applicants.

“We anticipate that some of the community leaders will be coming with funding already in hand, while others will be using this service specifically to find a partner with whom to apply for funding from the CSCI,” added Laura Hilberg, Senior Scientist at EcoAdapt, the CSCI partner organization leading the development of the Registry. “Our hope is that being listed will be a boon for organizations with experience in the field, as it will allow them to showcase their professionalism, build new connections, and assist more communities in need of their services.”

Applications are currently being accepted from various types of organizations, including nonprofits, governmental entities, academic institutions, consulting firms, and sole proprietorships.  Eligible organizations are those that offer adaptation and/or resilience services and have at least 3 years of experience in the field, or two years of experience plus specialized training (e.g. NOAA’s Steps to Resilience training), as well as a commitment to following best practices, such as incorporating equity and considering nature-based solutions.
